Making Local Food Work reconnects people and land through local food increasing access to fresh, healthy, local food with clear, traceable origins. Making Local Food Work is an initiative managed by the Plunkett Foundation and funded by the Big Lottery Fund to explore community enterprise approaches to connecting land and people through food.

A campaigning organisation, promoting smaller-scale, sustainable food production, they provide a labelling scheme for marketing wholesome, locally grown food. All the food sold by WFA affiliates is grown and produced using time-honoured, 'natural' methods, such as crop rotation, composting, mulching and the avoidance of all harmful chemicals.
